On yesterday's card I used the Designer Frames embossing folder to emboss one of the framelits from the Labels Collection. It is a tight squeeze and I am often asked how I get the folder aligned so perfectly. It is very simple using removable adhesive!
Put a small amount of removable adhesive (I use either Dotto or Removable Glue Stick) inside the oval on the inside of the embossing folder. I put the adhesive on the side marked with the Sizzix and Stampin' Up! logos.
Place the piece to be embossed (I use the second smallest framelit from the Labels Collection) inside the folder and align the oval portion of the embossing folder in the center of the piece. Then squeeze the piece in the center so it sticks to the removable adhesive.
Now your piece won't move when you run it through your Big Shot! That means less wasted cardstock!
You'll have a nicely embossed piece to use on whatever project you like.
I have also tried to cut the piece after I emboss but the small dots along the outside of the oval tend to get squished when I do, so I prefer this method.
Thanks for letting me share!
