The vintage card I posted yesterday had a single flower from the Flower Trim (available in the Spring Catalog) which was colored to match. It is really easy so I thought I could do a quick picture tutorial to show you how.
- Water in a mist bottle
- Ink pad in the color of your choice
- Reinker in the matching color
- Aqua Painter
- Plate or dish
- Flower Trim
Place the flower trim on a plate or dish and spray with water until saturated.
Place a drop (or two depending on how many flowers you are coloring) of reinker into the lid of the ink pad. I usually add a drop or two of water also.
Dip your Aqua Painter into the reinker and touch it to the flower. The flower will pull color from the Aqua Painter. Repeat until you have the level of color desired. Set aside and let dry (these flowers dry pretty quickly). Then you can use on whatever project you like!
Easy and so, so pretty!
After the flower is dry you can brush a marker over the top of the flower to add shading. A dry flower won't pull the color so the darker area will remain.
This is only one of many ways to color the Flower Trim! Experiment to find your favorite.
Thanks for letting me share!
