I had to take a break from prepping for my classes this week to show you a card. I love it because although it is simple, it looks so elegant to me.
I used the Manhattan Flower embossing folder on a piece of Shimmery White. Then flipped the cardstock so the debossed side was facing upwards and used a Stampin' Sponge to swirl color onto the cardstock. The debossed portion grabs less color (as long as you don't press too hard) so the image is seen. You can continue layering the color until you get the shade you prefer. I chose a lighter shade for this card but you can go as dark as you like!
Stampin' Up! Supplies:
- Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (w: 115370, c: 127802)
- Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Shimmery White
- Ink: Rich Razzleberry
- Accessories: Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder (114517), Scallop Oval Punch (119856), Large Oval Punch (119855), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126876)
A change of the cardstock base and ribbon color can quickly alter the feel of this simple card. Think an elegant black, white and gray theme for a formal event or coordinating the card color to match a wedding palette.
This technique works on all the embossing folders, go through your collection and imagine the possibilities!
Thanks for letting me share!
